What Is Fear on Fallingbrook?

Every October 31st, 84 Fallingbrook Street in Whitby becomes much more than a haunted house. It is a full experience, hosted by the talented Scott and Charlene Welsh, and it has become a favourite for Halloween fans of all ages.

Scott is the creative mind behind the haunted walk-through, which takes more than a month to build. Each year he transforms the property into a dark, winding maze full of surprises around every corner. Even the bravest guests tend to pick up the pace.

Trick-or-Treating and Thrills

The night is not only about scares. Charlene and family greets guests at the front entrance with a warm smile and a bowl of treats. With more than 300 trick-or-treaters and over 100 spectators joining in each year, the atmosphere is electric. Some guests arrive in their spookiest costumes, others enjoy the show from the sidelines, and everyone is welcome.

The Welsh family’s adult children also roam the grounds throughout the evening, adding a few well-timed frights for anyone brave enough to wander through. It is a fun, friendly experience suitable for all ages.

A Haunting with Heart

Fear on Fallingbrook is just as much about giving back. Each year, the Welsh family collects donations for Durham Feed the Need, helping neighbours in our community who need it most. While you enjoy the fun, you are also making a real difference for local families.

A Special Celebration

October 31st is also Scott’s birthday, which makes the night a double celebration of all things Halloween.

Proud to Support This Community Tradition

Events like this are what make Durham Region such a special place to live. Tanya Gordon and the Tanya Gordon Real Estate Group are proud to raise funds for Durham Feed The Need, contribute treats for the evening and to help spread the word, so more neighbours can enjoy the night and support a great cause.

So mark your calendar, pick your costume and get ready to be spooked. Whether you come for the scares, the treats or the cause, this is one Halloween tradition you will not want to miss.
