Mark your calendars for THURSDAY OCTOBER 31, 2024 6:00-9:00 P.M.
Get ready for a spine-tingling experience like no other as Fear on Fallingbrook returns for another year of frightful fun! For over a decade, this beloved Halloween tradition has been the talk of Whitby, drawing in hundreds of thrill-seekers eager to be spooked. If you’re looking for a night of chills, thrills, and community spirit, you won’t want to miss this!

What’s Fear on Fallingbrook?
Held on October 31st at 84 Fallingbrook Street in Whitby, Fear on Fallingbrook is more than just your average haunted house – it’s a full-blown experience. Hosted by the incredibly talented Scott and Charlene Welsh, this annual event has become a must-visit for Halloween enthusiasts of all ages.

Scott is the mastermind behind the terrifying haunted walk-through, which takes over a month to meticulously prepare. Each year, he transforms the Welsh property into a bone-chilling labyrinth that will leave even the bravest souls on edge. As you make your way through the dark corridors, you’ll encounter creepy surprises at every turn, making this a Halloween event you’ll never forget.
Trick-or-Treat and Thrills
But it’s not just about the scares. Charlene, the heart of the event, welcomes guests at the front entrance with a smile and a bowl full of treats. With over 200 trick-or-treaters and 100+ spectators joining in the fun each year, the atmosphere is electric. Some guests come dressed in their spookiest costumes, while others prefer to enjoy the spectacle from the sidelines – but no matter how you participate, there’s a place for everyone at Fear on Fallingbrook.
Adding to the eerie ambiance, the Welsh family’s adult children roam the grounds throughout the night, ready to send shivers down the spines of anyone brave enough to venture through. It’s a frightful delight suitable for all ages, ensuring that everyone has a hauntingly good time.
A Haunting with Heart
Fear on Fallingbrook isn’t just about scares – it’s about giving back to the community. Every year, the Welsh family collects donations for the Feed the Need Durham Food Bank, ensuring that the spirit of generosity is alive and well on Halloween night. So while you’re getting your fill of frights, you’ll also be helping to support a great cause. Youre invited to bring a single non-parishable food or fill an entire bag, either of which will make an immediate difference for those of need in our community.
A Special Celebration
As if all the spooks and scares weren’t enough, there’s an extra reason to celebrate on October 31st – it’s Scott’s birthday! This adds an extra layer of excitement to the night, making Fear on Fallingbrook a double celebration of all things Halloween.

Join Us for a Night of Frights
With countless hours of dedication and resources poured into this event, the joy and excitement on the faces of both the Welsh family and their guests are undeniable. This year, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be sponsoring Fear on Fallingbrook, joining forces with Kurt Henry from The Mortgage Centre and True Sign that has a true passion for real estate, to support this incredible community tradition
